Using downview mode and it is actually real time with no delay of action underneath.

I was a little confused by the demo videos on Youtube and hope you could help me with this question:
You can see the fish under the ice and tell how far out they are from your hole, but how can you tell in which direction they are located since the sonar scans 120 degrees?

punch a few holes around the sonar, dip some ID's down then you should know
of course im only bluffing

seriously I'd guess the transducer can be directionally posed by the user

It doesn’t matter which direction the fish come from , the matter is know where is your lure then u should see the fish from all kind of direction and swim towards to your lure and time to get ready to set hook

you said you were only using the downward mode, whatelse mode(s) does it provide ?

sounds like that 120deg is only the downward cone angle, not sideway scanning angle that one'd imagine

Yes, forward mode for ice fishing is not easy to apply since it is too cold out there. Once you drill the hole then you just want to stay inside.
Also this machine is way too heavy. I think it is too heavy and big for me. It is quite bigger than the Marcum I used to have. This New Garmin just like a sonar and the benefit is only you can see the fish a little bit quicker.
Might consider to return it for small sonar.

这bundle 能有多重? 估计那12ah 鉛酸battery 有7,8 磅重, 那才是问题吧, 鋰电只其1/4重.....
