Herring
MooneyeWell, studied the pic further, from the single dorsal fin (herring has 2 with an extra adipose in front of the tail), the wider body and the yellowish colour shown in the pic I think it's a Mooneye from the great lakes(goldeye has dorsal fin behind annal fin)
