The trip was planed before the snow fall arrive. target specie of the day is Burbot (ling)
Knew it will be long walk, but was hoping bare ice condition.
arrived the spot at 8am found out the snow deep enough to slow us down, took one hour to walk to the spot
set up and start fishing, wasnt a non stop action day but manage a few.
the wind picks up and snow start coming down, has to take breaks every 20~30 steps, whiteout, 2 hours to walk back to the car
what a exhausted day, here are few pictures

This fish is from lake simcoe. I heard the fish before but never caught one . It is one of the best good eating fish
Good job .

Bowfin & Burbot look close except the latter has a whisket
You sure had nailed loads of Poor man's Lobster.....

好鱼获. 我曾经夏天在 LAKE SIMCOE 岸钓到此鱼, 但没有留下, 不知道怎的吃(据说肉很碎)

这年头，能有鱼咬口就不错，我今年钓了４次了，都是Laker给害的，一次咬口都没有！
这在夏天船钓到时候是不可想象的，就是岸钓从来没有连续这么多次空军！

Burbot Fish (wiki):
江鳕（学名：Lota lota）为鳕科江鳕属的鱼类，俗称山鲶鱼或花鲶鱼。
本鱼体延长，圆锥状。头平扁。眼小，口前位，上颔较下颔长。上下颔和锄骨均具绒毛状齿，腭骨无齿。有颏须。背鳍两个，第一背鳍短小；第二背鳍和臀鳍均延长，与尾鳍不相连；腹鳍喉位。体被埋于皮肤下的小圆鳞。体背及体侧为黄褐色或灰褐色，腹面灰白，体侧另有不规则的白色云斑。体长可达到152厘米。
本鱼分布于北纬45度以北的河、湖等水域。分布于亚洲、欧洲及北美洲北部等北温带及亚寒带，包括中国境内的乌苏里江、松花江、牡丹江、嫩江、额尔古纳河、海拉尔河、呼伦湖等流域。江鳕是北半球北部典型的冷水性淡水鱼，其生存的海拔范围为-230至-1米。该物种的模式产地在欧洲。
本鱼生活于水深1至700米。。为鳕形目中唯一生活在淡水中的种类。为典型的冷水性鱼类，常栖息在水质清侧，底质以沙砾为主的水底。以小鱼、甲壳类和两栖类动物为主食。
