DORA, Alabama- James R. Bramlett, 65, landed a 70 pound striped bass from the Black Warrior River near the Gorgas Steam Plant Thursday February 28, 2013. The fish was weighed on certified scales and officials and a fisheries biologist with the Alabama Department of Wildlife and Natural Resources were at Bramlett's home today to make it official. The fish is 45.5 inches long and has a 37.75 inch girth. It tops the previous state record by 15 pounds that has stood since 1959. That fish was caught on the Tallapoosa River. The catch may become the new IGFA world record for a landlocked stripe bass. That record currently stands at 67pounds, 8 ounces. (Joe Songer/jsonger@al.com)

Alabama angler's IGFA world record 69 pound, 9 ounce striped bass available for public viewing

SAYRE, Alabama -- IGFA World Record holder James R. Bramlett with his 69 pound, 9 ounce striped bass. Bramlett received the mounted fish from Centreville taxidermist Jackie Scott. The fish will be available for viewing at Sayre Auto Parts at 7192 Bankhead Hwy. in Dora, Alabama. Bramlett said he wants people to be able to see world record fish.

Several of the witnesses to the world record catch came by Tuesday to see the fish and family and friends shot photos and video of the monster striper.

The mount is spectacular is both size and detail. Jacky Scott told me that several features of this mount had to be hand made, including the eyes.
The records shattered by this fish include the IGFA world record for landlocked striped bass, the IGFA line class record for 50 pound test line and the Alabama state record for striped bass.

James said he claims the state record for himself, but the IGFA world record belongs to every fisherman who every bought a fishing license in the state of Alabama. He said that record belongs to the fishermen of Alabama.

有次Q君在码头用画册杆竟然搞了个大鲤鱼，没带网，我趴着用手抓腮，那鱼根本抓不住买还把我指甲弄劈流血了。。。这才20磅？要是70磅，以我的吨位体积，估计能拖着我跑。。。

没错，我至今也没有拉过这么大的鱼，你们三位经常钓到那个桥上，桥离水面有十几尺吧。
