Logic
The missing number is 4. The logic is as follows:
*"Seventy three" has 12 letters
*"Twelve" has 6 letters
*"Six" has 3 letters
*"Three" has 5 letters...
*and so the next number will be the number of letters in the word "five", which is 4

I always try to steer away from such IQ stuffs, it makes me feel silly...

其实你不要简单的把这个看成是IQ题目，这其实是密码学的基础。

Yeah I suppose there are some basic thinking patterns to follow...
