Saturday was windy to say the least. Strong winds and gust of 50kmh from the NW. I took three friends out on Simcoe for a little lake trout fishing. None of them have ever caught a lake trout in their life. We set up in 73 FOW. The fish finder was light up like a christmas tree from the bottom right to the top. So we set up shop and within the first hour we had landed about twenty cisco. Our bait couldn't even reach bottom before they got gobbled up by these hungry little fellas. Once they filled up on our minnows and our baits finally reached our desired depth in took less then twenty minutes for laker number one to strike. With one cheery popped with a nice little 3lbs stocked lake trout. Twenty minutes later that familiar call of fish on was called out and a beauty 10lbs resident laker was hauled through the ice and cheery number two was popped. After some pictures we let her go and the lines were dropped back down. Before the lines even reached half way down its fish on! A very nice stocke laker at 8lbs and the third and final cheery to be popped. Ended up losing two at the hole and landing one more laker around 5lbs. We finished the day with a nice 4lbs white fish. The weather was cold but the fishing was hot. Nothing like seeing someone catch their first laker. What a day!

“Despite the plunging mercury yesterday, I decided to make the trek out in search of a new spot to try for Lakers. The goal being to get away from other people essentially, and try to find some less pressured fish.

After a good walk, and scanning a couple spots, I finally marked a fish on screen and went to work anchoring down the pop-up hut. By the time I was finished setting up I could barely feel my hands! and fortunately I had marked some bait on screen and an occasional fish around, because it wasn't going to be a searching day in those conditions on foot!

They had no interest in aggressive presentations yesterday, so slowing things down was the key to success. I ended up 4 for 6, and had a good workout. Can't ask for anything more than that”

关于远离人群，我觉得，如果大家都没上鱼，远离之，如果有人上鱼，靠近之。Laker还是成群的，所以很多时候是上鱼就是好几条，要么没有。

我们怎样才能钓到 LAKER? 就我本人来说, 目前水平低技术低, 暂时就只有: 提高认识, 强化意识, 持之以恒, 坚持不歇, 环环紧扣, 步步到位, 把钓 LAKER 的各项工作落实到实处....

我去年在天快黑时咬过一次，但是我见过在oro六线哪里经常有人在木屋里夜钓。
