Wet, this is a more user friendly link, I hope....

Following the herring (cisco) boom happened in recent years, WF seems to have changed their habitats greatly...even seasoned fishermen had found them hard to locate through ice or open water....however, once you do, landing them becomes routine...those who did their foot work with success are tight-lipped, cant blame them really...

For a starter, your best bet is to do it on holidays and launch your boat out off Bonnie Boats at Jackson's Point...go west towards the two islands, you'll see the groups of boats alon the way, not as plentiful as it used to be as the fishing has gone down...with the binoculars you may see other's action from afar...you'll be fishing from 40~80 FOW in that watershed

Jigging there you would need to anchor your boat first, a 150' anchor line should do you good for the most part of the lake....fishfinder helps as always, see any bottom hugging signal drop your anchor and start from there...I use ice rod for open water jigging as well, less tiring your wrist....jigging lures like William spoon, Bad boyz, Rapalla, Cast master spoon are commonly used....if you target mid-water LT rubber bait(like swammer)+jighead has proven success to some
