会飞的鸭子 写道:Ecstasy 写道:before you buying a boat, you have to ask yourself some questions:
why do you need to buy a boat? (TO FISH OF COURSE! but, how often do you fish? once a week or twice a week, or ...even how much do you like/love to fish?)
do you have enough budget? and how much would you like to pay for the boat? also, maintenance costs../fixing stuff if anything bad happens../gas, 2 stroke, gear and motor oils/bolts etc.

transport vehicle, do you have a car that able to pull a boat? what about the towing capacity of your car? trailer hitches? classes is 1 to 5. (usually is class 3, for most bassboats or med/lager size aluminum boats carry up to 6000 pounds with average 600 lb tongue weight with 2' ball)
have you ever launch a boat?
ok, say you got everthing ready, wiring...is the boat you going to buy have a 4 or 6 pin connections? does it have trailer brakes, surge brakes?
do you know when you haul something at the back of your car you have to drive differently then normal? Reverse, U turn, making turns? also which lanes should you choose when you're on and off highways, roads..?![]()
got space for your boat? garage? or outside of ur house? are u living in a condo or apartment?
if you got all this lets go to the next step....![]()
first of all..theres no such thing called "pro boat" dont know why people call it that way...i assume they mean fiberglass bassboat?
depend on the lakes you usually go to, if you fish 90% of kawartha lakes. a mod V style aluminium is a great choice for bass/crappies, if you fish for bass/walleye/crappie/muskie/pike etc, or going to some of the bigger lakes fish other then karwartha area(tri lakes are kind of big too) such as lake simcoe, lake ontario(bay of quinte/ trenton) georgian bay area. you need a deep V and a larger/bigger size.(need a 18 ft+ to against wind/rain and 3~5 ft waves)
since you want to buy a new boat, its going to be atleast $20,000 to get one(average16 ft, 50 hp 50lb trolling etc), of course that would be after tax, insurance and everything
so rich...
